Hi I'm Mary Ann Ashenfelter.
My father is the famous Horace A. who won the steeple chase world championship 1952 in Helsinki.
I'm sure you'll remember. That's where I met Handsome Hank and his Boys for the first time. They were playing at the opening ceremony. I was only five years old and I felt star struck for the first time in my life when I shook hands with Hanks Boys. I was intrigued by their stage appearance as well as their personal charms even then.

My dad always used to say: “Life is nothing but a steeple chase” and he's right. If you have a look at Hanks career you'll see there were a lot of ups and downs. But he always managed to overcome the obstacles of modern showbiz and fought himself back to the top again.
Anyway I'm a big fan of the group and after Frank Miller was overrun by a steamroller I am their agent now. I tell you all the great news about them. Keep on running, Boys!

God bless you
Mary Ann Ashenfelter

Great News

February, 01 - 2007 / Ole Hank and the Boys are very happy about the re-release of their fine album "Live at Murmansk".
When they stay in shape we could even expect some personal appearances! See: Tourdates

September, 15 - 2006 / LIVEAT MURMANSK
The album “Live at Murmansk” should be available in the Chicken Shack Shop in January 2007. God bless ya and thanx for your faithfulness and patience!

August, 27 - 2006 / HANK AND STEFAN REMMLER
Hank has been away from showbusiness for a while and he's dying for his comeback! But he ain't been a lazy bone in the meantime. The band had a collaboration with german singer Stefan Remmler (Da da da even was a hit in West Virginia, I swear). They recorded a song called “Let's Go To Elvis” (a composition by Berlin based 2Raumwohnung) on Remmlers recent Solo LP. Look up Stefans website stefan-remmler.de

August, 14 - 2006 / ROCK DOWN THE RASSISM
Furthermore Handsome Hank and his Lonesome Boys contributed a song on the LP “Rockdown” against the Swiss Asylgesetz. Not every Negro is a shoplifter! Only a welcome Indian is a good Indian! There's something good in every man! The song is called Song 2. It's a bonus track and features an exorbitant, neckbreaking fiddle solo by good ole Jimmy Zimmerman. In the name of humanity we even got on record full of stinky dirty Rock'n'Roll music (!?). Lord have on mercy.

July, 15 - 2006 / NEW LINE UP
It's a new line up, since Burtie Bell and Ratso have left and have been substituted by Paul Nightingale and Bulgarian Jazzman Emanuel Šnadrovsky. Hotter than ever, the sooner the better, blame it on the weather.
