1953-1964 Hard times. Hank and his Boys' popularity is suffering. No concerts, no albums, no radio broadcasting..... Doggone R & R!

1964-1970 Increasing success during the folk music revival. Since 1970 member of the "Country Music Hall of Fame". A grammy award for the tune "Lonesome Boys Breakdown".

1970-1979 Historical status: Hank declared as "One of the most important personalities of the United States of America", 1972 honoured by President Nixon.

1984 Hank shakes hands with Ronald Reagan.
